differential swap?

I have a rearend with a t-lok right now and was wondering how hard it would be to swap in a auburn posi. Is it the same difficulty as swapping gears?

you have to reset up the gears in the posi. you taking it to a shop or doing it yourself? why going from tlok to auburn unit in the 7.5? id get the 8.8 and auburn for it

My 7.5 with the auburn will hold just fine. My dad use to work on cars and seems to think that he'll be able to do it. But I thikn I'm just gonna have a shop install the 3.73's and auburn into my current rearend. I think it will save a lot of trouble considering the rearend I have is 4 lug and I don't feel like swapping over everything.

Because the auburn posi can hold a lot more power than an old t-lok

ha. what about your axles? the 28 splines and the 7.5 are a weak combination. the auburn wont be worth the 7.5. you should consider getting an 8.8 if you are worried about breaking the 7.5 tlok.

go to a junkyard and pull the 8.8 out of a gt. then put the gear ratio you want in there. with the power youll be making, you wont need more than the 8.8 28 splines and tlok. (well these axles are the same as the v6, but the rear is stronger)

great deal! the 94-98 is a tad narrower than the 99-04. but for that price, throw on some wheel spacers or deeper offset wheels if it turns out to be a pre99 rear end
