Well, I don't know why or how i remember. But I think someone told me something about the 2000 had a dual intake. I was curious if thats true and would i be better off to get some other type of intake?

I don't believe it has a dual intake. That being said, you are always better off with a good after market intake.

For the money should is it worth it to switch to something like a K&N CAI, or to stick with the intake that the 2000 has and use the money for something else on the car.

JLT makes a great intake. A good place to start if you're looking to begin improving the performance of your car is a good intake, and a good tuner with custom tunes, say a nice SCT tuner from bamachips or brenspeed. The 6'er guys also know of a few different places that I can't recall atm, cuz I'm getting old and losing my memory. lol

well even tho . intakes are from 20-200 $ depends on brand name . and once again its a CAI* it adds about 7hp at higher rpm's besides what much can you do with 200 in the car world

okay if you dont wanna spend to much money buy a CAI for like 20$ from ebay and buy a K&N filter from autozone or pepboys or your local auto parts store. 2nd if your skeptical and want lifetime warranty for safety issues buy it from the website www.knfilters.com

Steam the intake is two pieces like you're thinking. The intake tube itself, which can affect performance be being a different shape and diameter, which changes (hopefully improving) airflow. The second piece is the filter, which clamps on to the end of the intake tube.

The more air & fuel you can get in to the engine's cylinders, the more power you can make.

And then buying a K&N filter to replace the filter than comes with the CAI?

Also is there a way to buy just the CAI pipes instead of getting the filter to that I'm just going to replace.

but dont expect 8-15HP gain like it says, you will only get that kind of gain with other mods and a tune, expect more like 3-5HP gain, that is more realistic
