its fine to use it now

and actually if you have to much carbon build up on the valves and if the seafoam removes it when theres to much then it can get stuck with the valve is closing which wouldnt be the best thing

anyway

how to use

1/3 in the gas
1/3 int he oil
1/3 in a vacuum hose

easiest hoses and way

ok get a short cup. pore the 1/3 in it...now go to either your PCV valve you'll see a hose connecting to it from the intake manifold. you can use that or the one that goes to the brake booster.
with the car RUNNING and on..pull the hose from either the PCV or brake booster making sure when it comes off you just have the end of the hose and not the PCV valve.
once its off plug with with your thumb as fast as possible because your car is going to want to shut off

now theres 2 ways of putting it in the hose WITH THE CAR STILL ON
give a LITTLE bit of room to poor the seafoam in the hose with out the car shutting off or put the hose in the cup and let it suck the seafoam(best option) and right when the cup is about to be empty the car is gonna wana shut off

just plug it with your finger if your quick enough or have the cup face flush with the hose so little/no air gets in the tube. then shut the car off. you can either just unplug the hole. after you let the seafoam get in the engine for a few seconds of go in the car and shut it off...shut it off when you've emptied your 1/3 cup in the vacuum line after 5seconds...smoke will come out your exhaust...thats what is suppose to happen

then after 5minutes or so just turn the car on

it'll be hard to start...give it a lil gas and then let it start. let it idle for 1-2minutes...lots of smoke will come out. thats NORMAL
then rev a lil and rev slowly to 4krpms and drop. then lil short revs. and drive up and down the street for a minute.
and wait for the car to stop smoking and your done

hah.. i'm just messing with ya..

once it does turn over and run giving it gas is fine.

back in the carb days you could flood the engine with the gas even with the car off.

ya can't do that with efi.

As stated above, its fun to get it smoking from putting it in a vac line but I noticed the best help from putting it in my gas tank. My car has lower miles too at 55,000. Maybe there wasnt alot of carbon built up yet but it must have did something to the injectors and fuel system because that made a little difference.

Sorry chris he needs more info.

If you do put seafoam in your oil
DOnt drive any more than 300 miles on it.

the sludge will build up on the internals.

id use half a can atleast in the intake.
another half in the oil

Then go with a can in the gas tank.

but REMEMBER TO CHANGE YOUR OIL.

go with a synthetic blend to remove the old sludge off your engine

no it would not be a waste just to seafoam... but what it does is clean your engine... why clean your engine but leave dirty parts in?

trust me Seafoam will not fix any sort of fouled plug itll only remove some of the carbon buildup.
seafoam it and then change your filters.

Fuel filter isnt hard at all jsut get the bakc end up a little bit.

2 words for ya when you're doin the fuel filter change...

NO SMOKING!!!

Even when you relieve the fuel pressure in the line it still sprays a bit so be careful under there!
SO THEN MAYBE I'LL TAKE A SWING @ THIS FUEL FILTER CHANGE HOW-TO!!*
1.Relieve fuel pressure in lines by removing the fuel pump fuse under the hood, start the car and let car run til it kills itself(gets a bit rough right before it dies!)

2. Raise up rear end of car(jackstands!!).Fuel filter is located between the fuel tank and the rear diff.(on 99-04 V-6 models)

3.unclip the 2 retaining clips on the filter with a flathead screwdriver(or by hand)and loosen/remove band clamp(if equipped)

4.Give filter a slight tug on both ends to free it from the filter bracket to allow you access to the line couplings.

5.using your fuel line quick disconnect tool(available at ANY establishment that prides themselves an autoparts store!Prolly not Wally World but maybe)clamp tool around the nipple of the filter and slide the toolinto the coupling(sometimes it's a bit stubborn but trust me it'll go in...you just have to apply pressure..gradually.

6.If the line does not pop loose from the filter, hold fuel line with one hand and guide(twist)the disconnect tool into the coupling.
*NOTE* By now you should have had a run in with that fuel spray I mentioned earlier, if not, start from the top of this to-do list and make sure you didn't miss anything.

7.Repeat process on other filter nipple to free the old filter.

8.Once the old filter is free, attach new filter the same way as the old and
reassemble all clamps.

9.lower rear end

10.Replace fuel pump fuse.

11.Crank up the car(may take a second or two)and let it run for a minute or so. (NOTE: if it don't start after a good minute or so, check the fuel pump reset switch in the trunk on driver side near the taillight area. It's a little red button.Make sure it's pressed in.Then try again)

12.DONE!

*If in doubt about ANY of the above how-to, DO NOT ATTEMPT IT!!
I refuse to be held liable for someone injuring themselves and then coming back sayin" well this guy online told me...." lookin for lawsuit bullets or somethin. IT'S ALL YOU BABY!!!

You can also consult the Chilton/Haynes manual you SHOULD have(not doggin, just offering a suggestion for all the would-be do-it-yourselfers out there) for EXACT guidance on your particular make/model vehicle. The information can be located in the Routine Maintenance section (usually Chapter 1 of the manual)

Good day to all of you!!

hint on the fuel pressure
Turn it off via the switch in the trunk.
and then start up your car and itll die relieving the pressure from the system
