Cant make up my mind
I cant decided whether I want to buy a GT or just add a power adder or stroke my engine....If I were to buy the Stage 3 Power Pack and 4.2 Stroker Kit from SSM, how much horsepower would it make? And what kind of 1/4 would it run.

depends on your choice compression ratio...and can you install a stroker kit?
you'd make about 250-280rwhp depending on your compression ratio. you can easily beat the same year GTs and should take newer GTs but i recommend getting the procharger from vmp... has everythign you need period! and you'll look at 300rwhp about if not more with 11psi take any stock GT even bolt ons GTs with a stage 3 power pak and 4.10s with a 8.8 rear you can take any stock mustang...or you should be able to if you can drive good. but your looking at almost blowing your motor possibly |

I can install the kit, but I ant bore my engine. My dad has a friend that can for me though. Isn't 11 PSI a little hard on a stock engine though? One of the reasons I was leaning towards a stroker kit was my car has 70K miles and rebuilding the engine is like basically like renewing your engine.

Out of pure curiosity why didn't you say turbo it since you are turboed? Also I've alway been more particle to ProCharger than Vortech, but I really don't have any reason to be...So is ProCharger really better?

I was asking myself the same question about a year ago. I loved my 98 V6 and put a lot of work and money into cosmetic mods but I wanted something with more power. I ultimately went ahead and bought a GT and I'm glad that I did. Of course, I kept the V6 too and still work on it so my decision wasn't to hard. If you are dedicated to a little extra work then fix up your V6. If you are looking for the easier route then just get a GT and buy some bolt ons.

I don't mind the work. Well If I could afford to keep mine and buy a GT I would but I don't have quite that amount of money lol. I have enough to either add a power adder or sale mine and upgrade.

with the GT you would be a few steps ahead right out of the box, but with the 6 which you already have you can upgrade the hell out of it for how much you would pay for a GT, and be able to destroy one. it all depends on your taste. if you want to get the v8 and mod it which most do then go for it. if you want to go against the norm and mod the shit out of a 6 then do it. its all your personal preferance.

Hell idk what to do. I have my car for sale right now, but noone is buying cars right now probably because of gas. If I sale mine soon I've been talking to this guy with a 99 Cobra that is just beautiful and supped pretty good, he has it running 12.8-12.9 on the 1/4 mile.

life isn't always about the quarter mile... your young and need to drive your car every where so it has to be sensible that your car can get you from point a- point b on a little more then 12 MPG...
In my opinion modding a 6 has more benefits then buying an 8... the one benefit IMO is i know what is done to my car... how long its been there... what kind of beating it has taken with those mods on my car etc. if you were to rebuild your motor thats like getting a new car... kinda... and who doesn't want a new car?
