keep the v6, you will get better mileage and cheaper insurance plus it will be one kick ass car after you put all that into it

with all that you think he would get better mpg?
the GT only falls short of you guys by 3 mph. My vote is for the GT. and that's coming from someone that had a 2001 v6 and a 2001 GT both 5 spds. |

hmusn i know will say GT for the rest of his life...just like i'll say v6 for the rest of my life theres been a point where i almost wanted to get a GT and my dad would let me use his 302 block and i actually saw today guys with less then $3k made 408rwtq and 450rwhp off a 351....thats fuckin incredible for the price... im considering it for my next project....i want to do a record breaking v6 but idk for the price of that 351 monster ....i can buy 2 engines and still will be cheaper then a built v6...i dont remember if the pistons, rods or crank were forged...i dooubt it but either way thats impressive to me. plus everyone says how the ls1 350 owns GTs and cobras WELL yea...its got a whole 1.1L more and 69 more cube inches of displacement..i hope it'd win...but what about fords 351 vs a lsWHAT?! yea you can deffinitly compare in block size and figure it should be a close race....NO 351 owns so personally i wouldnt get per say a GT....i'd get a mustang with out an engine...or a fox. and work with a drop in 302 or 351,,,,cause the 281 is slow...im sure hmusn can let you in on it not being so powerful...compared to a six yes but theres a guy on here...full bolt ons. h/c/i and hes making just 308rwhp....i can probably do that at 7psi-8psi.... and i wouldnt get a cobra motor either...yea the DOHC is nice but they still will lose to a 351 nasty |

chevy 350 vs a 351....
no...DEFFINITLY a 351... stroked 350 you cannot compare...cuz a ford 408 will murder a 383 a 350 straight out of a SS vs a 351 in a fox or even a sn95...call the 350 done. even a 347 will spank a 350. theres a guy with a 4.6 stroked to a 5.0 on here that'll spank any stock ls1, wether it be in a vette or camaro. so F347 > C350 F351>C350 |

but as you can tell from some of my posts, im a big LSx fan if i had the money first thing i would do is take an 01 cobra and stroke it to a 5.7 and than race it against an ls1 firebird and see which one would win that way no one could say "well the cobra had a supercharger" or "the firebird has more cubes" |

stroke a 4.6 to a 5.7....you cannot do that with the stock block also a DOHC 5.7 will smack an ls1 in the face. you've got 4 cams as oppose to 1. and twice the valves per cylinder. its an unfair match truly. |

The cobra is dohc & has a supercharger - Your arguments are not valid and the LSX can not be beaten.
