the wheels may be out of balance. is it when you apply the brakes or just constantly? does the car itself vibrate or just the steering wheel move back and forth?

its just the steering wheel... i dont see how they would be out of balance because it was balanced before i put them on and then i had my front end aligned... its kinda getting annoying...

alignment or balancing could really be the only thing i believe. i say balancing or bad tires

there are boat loads of issues besides what you stated that can cause drive vibration and wheel vibration.

causes of tire vibration:

Warped rotors
Caliper not returning/Stuck pins
Suspension is damaged or worn. ie: tire rod ends, ball joint ect...
Bad Wheel bearing.
excessive play in stabilizer or control arm bushings.
Out of round tire, the belt has slipped.
Over inflated tire(s)
Out of balance tire(s)
Warped rim
uneven tread wear due to alignment issues or issues stated above.
Un-even break pad wear
Lose or improperly installed/torqued lug nuts.
Missing lug nuts.

as a personal opinion, and from experience. most high speed vibrations are usually slipped belts or bad breaks matinance

Warped rotors - only when braking from any speed
Caliper not returning/Stuck pins - maybe but more so if braking then not
Suspension is damaged or worn. ie: tire rod ends, ball joint ect... tie rod ends could be a good culprit
Bad Wheel bearing. - same ^^
excessive play in stabilizer or control arm bushings. - same ^^
Out of round tire, the belt has slipped. - huh?
Over inflated tire(s) - do a quick check
Out of balance tire(s) - unlikely
Warped rim - new rims
uneven tread wear due to alignment issues or issues stated above. - new tires
Un-even break pad wear - happens more so when braking
Lose or improperly installed/torqued lug nuts. - do a quick check
Missing lug nuts. - unlikely

Stuck caliper pins can cause high speed vibration man or a sluggish caliper. i had a problem with both my back calipers was causing vibration at highway speeds.

refer to the bold:

when this happens you will know it lol ever seen an egg shaped tire?? :wink not cool

i kinda have the same problem...mines around 60-65 and then shakes the same from then on up in the mph...mine started after i got my wheel&tires re-balanced when my car was being aligned after lowering it...i have still yet to figure it out on mine...i think its just a shitty balance job by the people doing it even tho they did it like 3 times now...bc before then i had never had a problem

if it happens again, note the exact conditions: i.e. brakes applied, turning, road condition, accelerating, coasting, etc.

my wheel shakes when i go fast on a shitty road, but once i hit a good patch of fresh pavement it stops completely... maybe your just experiencing road vibrations?

im sure ur ok but if u think that the vibration is in fact an issue refer to the list i posted above but id have to say wheel bearing, ball joint or tie rod end if its not just a crappy alignment job.

Say something very scary today...

Hi there!
First time posting. My 07 GT has had the same issue but I found out MY cause. I'm good from 30 mph to 135 so far. I wonder, are you using the rim from Ford M-1007-U1885P* the 2005-07 MUSTANG GT WHEEL POLISHED?

I don't want to go off the deep end first thing but it took about 6.5 oz of weight to the out side part of the rim to get 2 of my wheels ballenced today. I had to use a trick from my sound renforcement training and Sherlock Holmes to see it but I know what MY issue was and judging from all I've read it might be yours. 1st things first , are you using those rims?
Thanks
RJ
