Auto to manual conversion
I've been looking around at some websites for a decent deal on a 06 Mustang GT 5-speed manual transmission, and looking to convert my 06 v6 to a manual. Along with the transmission i understand i'd also need a clutch, pedal, shift knob, and a Shift Linkage, but i don't know what else to get and that's where i need help. what other parts am i going to need to buy and will the 4.0L be compatible with a stock GT tranny? thanks guys

Does this also apply in reverse? My wife almost refuses to learn to drive my 5-speed. She wants an automatic.

To turn a manual into an automatic. My wife hates manuals. Unfortunate, because I love them.

It's already a manual. She's trying to get me to take it back to the dealer for an auto.

Yep, it's in my name only because we didn't need to add her name to it. My credit alone was good enough to finance it. Yay for me.

This is me purdy baby.
Anyway, I guess that means I don't necessarily have to shift when it's at 2K. Now I just wonder...how long does a typical clutch last? What if you're bad at it? And what do you know about the Kevlar clutches? |
