okay ebay cai are junk and cause loss of power.for me anyway

So since im trading in my car soon i decided it was a good day to remove my cai and put stock airbox back on. Well I did and my car feels better now, How I know so you people dont say it is in my head. I go to this stop sign all the time and punch it to try and spin my tires (no there are no kids cars or anyone around when i do this) And with my CAI on I could never get a good burnout or w/e (im an automatic not 5spd). Well today for my test run I tried to burnout and wow I spun the tires pretty easily for about 4-5secs. This is my experience lol. AND NO my filter was not dirty on my cai it was pefectly intact and in great condition.

My idea is that the CAI actually makes you lose power because of the metal it is in gets hot fast. or maybe I had a bad filter or something.

cais make little gains if any anyhow. going back to stock would make a very unnoticeable difference. chances are, you lost power and stopped at a stop sign with water on the road.

sorry dude i really think its in your head. you shouldnt feel a gain when put on or a loss when taken off. the only way your getting noticable horsepower is with other supporting mods and a tune.
