Manual vs Auto How Bad

Say there was a 2004 V6 mustang with a manual tranny, short shifter, and 3.73 gears. Then there was a 2004 V6 mustang with an auto tranny, shift kit, and 4.10 gears. If these two cars raced how bad would the auto beat the manual?

well it would depend on the driver but the auto with shift kit and 4.10s would definatly win

I knew it would win but I didn't know by how much. What if the manual had 4.10s too? Would the auto still beat it cause of that damn shift kit?

with a shift lit the computer will out shift the driver everytime. if they both have 4.10s, auto with a shift kit would probably still win. computer>human

double clutch can make a difference by maintaining the rpms at certain level so that when shifting theres less loss of t.q at the wheels..

I wouldnt trade my manual as well. Theres nothing like dropping the clutch and letting em spin. ( actually it should be like letting one tire spin but o well )

But doesn't an auto lose power through the torque converter no mater what kind of "shift kit" you have?
