Spark Plug Gapping?


I bought Autolight performance spark plugs and Im not sure what to gap them at for my 2000 v6 mustang does anyone know what it should be at...chris i know u have autolites what did u gap urs at?

if i remember right its .54 but i could be way off sorry i cant be much more help... im getting new spark plugs tomorrow and i need to know too

I gapped my v6 at .54 once and it sounded like a cammed ls1. What gives? I'm on .34 now and it idles like a charm.

Everyone that ive talked to or called said .54 but idk if thats soo becasue maximus says .34 but idk

if i gap to .54 and dont like it can i bend em back to .34 or will i need to buy new spark plugs??

ok its not .54 first of all thats HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
its .054 the 0 is important!

gap yours at .054
i wouldnt gap yours at what i gap mine at...mines at .032 going to .030 in a lil when i changed the plug to colder plugs.

but gap yours at .054

im getting CAI, throttle body soon duals tune and i have my autolites and s/p wires

no it will not make it colder...i have to buy different part number spark plugs. til your s/c, nitrous or tubro you wont have to worry about colder plugs

it should be .054

unless it's came off there should be a sticker under your hood with a diagram on it and it also lists your spark gap...least there is on my '01
