need help with diag

hey guys, so today i ported and halfshalfed my throttle body and got it all right except im having one problem with it, when im in gear and rev to 2k+ rpm and put it in neutral (manual trans) the rpm's dont drop until i slow down at least 10 mph, it idles fine when stopped, i rev the engine while in nuetral stopped and rpm's drop right back to 800, but only when im moving and in nuetral do they stay high, and check engine light is on. but still drivable as long as im in a gear. please help with diag. ty

make sure you didn't port where the butterfly touches the bore, if you remove material there, the car will always idle high and eratic?

rpm isnt very eratic, its steady at whatever rpm i was at when i switched to nuetral, but ill hit up auto zone tomarrow and let you guys know whats goin on and well see what i gotta do, i hope i dont have to get a new butterfly valve. but that may be the case.

i would try reseting the computer... do you have an aftermarket chip/re-flash? does the same thing happen if you unplug the IAC?
