i have true dual flowmaster 40's .. cat back, no new headers yet or cat's or anything like that and it sounds amazing.. its a nice deep tone that i was looking for. my mother has an 05 mustang GT and mine sounds better than hers now.. but it depends on the sound you want your car to have on which mufflers you choose.. and all you have to do is go to a local shop that does exaust and you trust and get a quote on how much it would cost to get it done.. mine cost around 320 for everything. (i have an 04 v6 also)

I had a pro do mine true deuls to flowmaster 40's with stock cats and it cost $390

also if so try having them put 2.25 pipe back until the last foot or so then have 2.5 pipe that is what my guy did and it sounds great nice and low rumble especially when I get on the gas

even if you don't get the larger piping at the end and just run 2.25 straight back it will still sound really good but if your planning on doing major modifications later on then it would be a good idea to get the 2.5 piping towards the end.

do i need to get an H or X pipe with the exhaust system or can i just put the exhaust system on without that, cause my dad wants it without it.

you don't need to but you can if you want.. it will effect the sound and performance slightly.. sound more than anything unless you have a high power car.

I just got true duals.. no H or X pipe and i am completely satisfied but if you do get true duals just get 2.25 piping

think about it this way: Y pipe = smoothest, X = smoth, H = slightly rough, and ll = roughest

depending on set up of course, but generally speaking performance increases from left to right(slightly)

V6's need an H-pipe for duals. X's make them sound like shit.

Technically it isn't "True dual" unless you have a H or X midpipe. But I like the flow's for the Y pipe. They sound way different in person then on the internet so I don't condone everything by the "Internet sound". But they sound pretty good for the v6!

id say flowmaster 40's for sure. the X pipes n all that dont make a huge difference from when i asked at the shop. especially HP wise, not unless uve got serious mod's on ur car

Id go either flowmasters/magnaflows and an H pipe the X gives it the high pitch sound H is lower
