I'm looking to buy some cold-air intake in the near future and I'm just wondering what is the best cold-air I could buy for my car.

intakes are all about the same..the filter is what really matters. if the tubing you get is crome then it will get hotter than the insulated 1's.. i have a K&N i bought because the filters are great and the tubing is different and does not get as hot.. but i don't think they make those for 98's good luck.

there is a variety of options availble, the main differences as mentioned are the materials the piping is made of out... some are composite and some are metal..with the metal being more prone to heatsoak but better visual appeal. the other options are the filter placement, some place the filter inside the engine bay some place the filter in the fender. The fenderwell kits will grab the coolest air. I am running a MAC Fenderwell Induction kit on mine, but you can find pretty cheap kits on ebay or from MustangTuning.com that are pretty much the same thing.

I have thought many nights about making a densecharger out of PVC pipes and fittings for my stang. A denscharger does not hold heat like the metal "hot air" intakes...
