Cold-air/Mass air, What's the difference?


I see cold air, mass air, straight-shot air, is there a difference? I'm assuming it's all the same just different lingo? Or is Mass air completely different from cold air, err what's the dealio? Input would be appreciated....

Cold Air=type of intake kit.. another example would be Ram Air Intake

Straight-Shot Air=a name of a particular kit sold by MAC with the filter configured inside of the engine bay similar to the OE intake tube but less restrictive and made of a different material.

Mass Air=This is referring to your Mass Airflow Sensor, a part of your air induction that is currently on your vehicle, this part measures airflow to help the car's computer determine the air/fuel mixture. This part is retained when installing a CAI but often moved or slightly relocated in the intake track.
