4:10, T-Lok, U-D Pulley


i hear these three things

4:10, t-lok, u-d pulley

are pretty good mods to make, why is that?
whats a t-lok?
whats a u-d pulley?
Im pretty sure i know 4:10 is the gears you should switch to but does it really give you better acceleration?

4:10's will make you accelerate a hell of a lot faster.
a T-lock is so both tires get power instead of just one resulting in better traction
U/D pulleys free up some more power out of your engine because they are smaller than you stock pulleys and it's easier for your engine to accl.

the underdrive pulleys will be easy, but i'd recommend you take your car to a shop to have the gears installed, and you might as well have them install the t-lock while the rearend is apart too

the U/D pulleys are simple.

I wouldn't do the gears/T-lock yourself though.

so should i be doing anything different before the gears and u-pulley? i have mac long-tube headers coming in, exhaust is getting dualed out with cats getting cut off, CAI already installed, should i go with t-lok, and gears, as well as u-d pulleys next?

any idea by how much or is it really minimal? the car speedometer goes to 120 i dont want to feel to limited there.

you don't have enough power to worry about it.
your top speed won't be affected.

they are all the same pretty much.

people tend to lean towards FRPP because they seem to be the easier install for the mech.

i went to american muscle to look for the underdrive pulleys but they dont seem to have ones for the 3.8L,

they don't have a lot of stuff for the 3.8

chec k with the v6 crowd.. they will know some good websites.
