it just a ventilation hose to cool off your crank case.

oh cuz when i got my exhaust done, they took that hose off + the cai when they did the headers. When they put the cai back they didnt put that hose back on, leavin the metal tube that you see in the cai open, and leavin the crank case hole open. would that create a check engine light? because when i got my car back from the shop, they had put Mil eliminators on which suppost to turn off rear o2 sensors + check engine light which it did. But 5 minutes down the road from the shop my check engine light came on. And the next day I checked everything and the only thing they didnt put back on is that hose, wuld that create a check engine? So basically ive been driving around with a small hole in my cai and a larger hole in the crank case where the hose is also suppost to go.

If you have it open in the CAI that would mean your letting metered air out of your CAI, thats not good.

it's like a $20.00 part.

it's just plug and play dude... you don't even need tools to do it.

1 leads to your cumbstion chamber the otheryour oil.

if theres no clean air going to either...its bad period
you dont want any extra dirt in the oil nor your intake

Do what GF said, you can find hoses at any hardware store too. Mine has just a regular hose connecting the two (came with ebay CAI).

you don't need clamps it slides into that rubber gromet, and slides onto that metal thingy on the cai

Since I don't feel like going out to look, wouldn't the hole on the crank case be bigger than the 'metal thingy' on the cai?

No, and as far as using a clamp just get a slightly smaller hose and put it on. Mine had to stretch around the CAI part (very tight fit).

Edit: the crank case hole is bigger, but for the CAI the hose stretches over the pipe and for the crank case the hose goes into it.

the hole is bigger thats why it has the rubber gromet
