Clutch Cable And Adjuster Mechanism Help

Hi everyone,
I am in the process of removing the adjuster mechanism from my 99 v6. I've got the cable off and out, along with the quadrant, however I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to get the pedal bracket assembly out! Apparently there are 5 bolts holding it in, an I've gotten 3 of them out. Where are the other two? Do I have to remove the master cylinder and do the whole break fluid thing just to get the assembly out? Also, if anyone could tell me how to remove the pawl spring from the clutch pedal, I would appreciate it! btw: I am doing all this in an attempt to diagnose a certain "chattering" or vibration in the clutch pedal, which goes away simply by "pushing" the clutch pedal up, so im guessing its not a problem with the clutch itself.
Thanks, Travis

you know what looking over the book ... the first thing you should have tried is pulling the pedal up towards the steering wheel as far as you can ... then depress the pedal to the floor ... if an audiable click is heard then it has adjusted its self...

honestly ... looking over the guide i would look into replacing the self adjusting unit its self ... and also it looks like the clutch pedal uses the whole pedal assy. as part of its linkage and shit ... meaning the pedal on the left has a pivoting rod that runs through the assy. to the passenger side of it and runs the cable back...

i would suggest checking all the springs around the clutch pedal its self ... right at the top where the main part of the pedal meets other parts to create the assy.

Got a 96 GT doing the same thing. Was doing research this morning trying to find out the deal. Spec Stage 2 clutch init and just started this crap the other day. The pedal vibrates pretty violently at times! Did you figure out what the deal was with it yet? I don't have an adjustable cable set-up, yet...I may give that a try. Clutch is still holding strong, no noises, no slipping, just a chattery pedal! WTF?????

mine used to do it... i just adjusted the cable cause it had some slack. After adjusting everything cool you just need to drop it in N and press the clutch until firm again. Maybe thats what you need adjusting the slack
