My Mustang Has Issues! Need Advice... Thanks!

As I drive along, I hear this tinny metallic rattling sound underneath the hood... Does anyone know what this could be? I had someone suggest that it may be a loose heat shield or something, but I don't know what or where that is. The rattling is so far back of the engine compartment that you can actually hear it through the dash when you're driving. The check engine light is NOT on.

My brakes are rattling too, for one stupid reason or another, (hey, does anyone know where I can get those metal brake clips that hold the brake pad in place???)

I know the two causes of the two different sounds are definitely not the same. It hardly affects the way the car drives, but it's more annoying than you can imagine...

Any advice is greatly appreciated, especially if you've had this problem (or know of someone who has). THANKS!!!

you can get the clips at autozone, but the metal click, If it increases as you got on the gas more than likely an exhaust leak, passenger side manifold is probably cracked. That or might be spark knock if you have played with your timing any.

nah at autozone you gotta call them pad clips or they stare at you for hours then look at you like your stupid. Working there for a year taught me a lot like 90% of the people who work there have the IQs of pigs.
