Speed Limiter

my 01 3.8 quits accelerating at 115. i bought new tires that will handle more speed so how do i get rid of my speed limiter?

but yes.. that's the way to do it man.
get a tuner, they run around $380.00

a tuner is w/e
honestly with out a laptop or a/f adjusting isnt really benificial or your still playing with fire kinda.
for bolt on yea its good ok
after nitrous or s/c or turbo its more like here you go to get to the dyno

unless you have preloaded tunes...even then it wont touch a dyno which again its better for bolt ons

but for basic bolt on cars to heavy bolt on cars I would recommend the tuner and a wide band 02 set up

ive got a lean and rich code on my car lol

i know the sensors are fine because on the dyno my a/f was rich but decent

anyway i blame the tuner. and myself for waiting to get a dyno so long

I hope you got more than new tires. Just curious, why do you want to take your Mustang over 115? Is it for the track?

i just wanna take it off so i can say that i can go over 115... im not neccessarily gonna go out and floor it on the interstate... i got beat in a race once cuz i hit my limiter and lost because he had enough time to catch up 2 me cuz his didnt cut off

A race last 1/8th of a mile or 1/4th of a mile, anything after that is a p*ssing contest. (ricers typically do that... we call it the ricer fly buy!)

i raced some base model integra a few days back and i stomped him 0-60 stomped him 1/8 absolutly smoked him on the 1/4 and when i slowed down he blew past me and still revved his engine with his coffee can muffler.
