CAI Has Hole

I was hooking up my CAI today and I have it all hooked up, MAF and hose to crank case. However there is a hole in it which I am assuming is for the temperature sensor on 1999-2000. There was nothing supplied to plug it up seeing as it was a cheapo ebay one. What would you guys recommend to plug up the hole with?

wasn't going to leave it open, it has a rubber grommet over it so it would be easy if I could think of something to stick in it and super glue

What I would try is to get a screw slightly bigger in diameter and screw it in. Make sure it's only as long as the grommet too. Put a spacer on it also, just to make sure if it came lose there isn't a chance of it falling in deeper.

I had the same "extra" hole in mine. All my stuf is made of plastic so it was easy. I put high temp/water proof adhesive all over a plug and stuck it in. I covered it with metal tape for a week then took the tape off. Worked fine.

hah, solution came to me while i was under the car. I took one of the plastic things that hold the fender well plastic to the frame. I put that in there and it was a tiny bit loose so i electrical taped it around and now I am finished. I was surprised at how much i like the new sound/ feel to the car. Didn't think it would make a feelable difference but before i put it on I took a nice cruise to compare to the after and its nothing crazy but its nice.

o yea def., well idk what to tell ya hoss, i had a mod on somethin and i knew that it didnt cause somethin to go wrong and somethin did and the dealership wouldnt fix it bc they say it was the mod, then i would get pretty nasty with them and i guarantee they would end up fixin it

lol yeah i think im just gonna stick with window tint and the side louvers for now even though it wont look right without the gt bumper... it'll be a start plus the reason i want to wait on everything is because i want to do a full exhaust not just a custom cat back... since i live here in alabama i doubt anyone would care cops wise. and a full exhaust is a guaranteed warranty void lol
also why half ass an exhaust and do it right the first time to save some money lol

Silicone glue will seal it easy. and you can have a CAI under warranty, but if something like your MAF goes out your screwed.

a thumb tack will plug it up nicely...just cut off the point (leave a little bit so you can take it out if you want to) and put it in tip up. I put some silicone sealant around the edges for good measure. choose a colored tack for extra style
