Longtubes

Are longtubes the best headers you can buy for a sixer mustang?
Also how much of an increase of hp do they make or if any?
Does this increase loudness and deeper tone in the exhaust???

i have them (mac long tubes) and yes.

the best you can buy- yes
increase in power- 15rwhp easy. and this increases as you open up the intake/exhaust work
louder- hell yes (b.c you cannot have more than highflow cats. i would run an offroad midpipe)
deeper- well this depends on muffler. but is much louder.

im doing mine tomorrow after class... didn't feel like doing it tonight plus the header gasket wont come in till tomorrow morning T_T

yeah but make sure u kno all the emissions laws before u spend the money i almost made that huge mistake but thanks to these guys here they answered everything :-)

what kind of mid-pipe would be the best to run the longtubes with???

then you need a cat back for the same year GT

ok if i already have a dual exhaust can a shop just take out the pipes already there then just install the mac off road H pipe and the longtubes? also can i use the mufflers i already have?

they will need to cut your catback and the new midpipe and fabricate a way for them to line up and then weld it

you could just take everything off and have a custom cat LT back made when you get the new headers
