Car Doesn't Run So Good Lately

okey so my car keeps killing when i first start it, and when i throw it in reverse or drive it will sometimes kill and even once at at stop sign. I recently got the following
f150 4.2
ported heads
ported intakes
224/224 cam
longer pushrods
heavier springs
sniper tune from dirty dirty racing

i already had
4.10's
posi
17 inch rims
mac long tube headers
mac h pipe
mac catback
Bomz cai

It seems like the colder weather is making it want to kill even more and im just not sure what the problem is. Even when the car runs it has no power from a dead stop, it normally cant even squeel the tires. Once it gets going in a little higher rpms though it runs great. Im thinking the problem has to be with the fuel supply, either it isnt getting enough gas (but it runs fine at higher rpms), or it is flooding it right away. Im not really sure what the problem is or how to figure it out. Also the fuel filter was replaced just a fewthousand miles ago. Any help would be appreciated.

you probably need bigger injectors, Sounds like it is choking itself out at idle

That had crossed my mind but then why wouldnt it affect the car through the entire rpm range? And why the fuck would you sell your mustang and get a scion?

Well it might be getting to much air at idle and low rpms and not enough fuel, you have any a/f readings? And I got the scion cause it was new. and It will last through college and it is fun to drive

i dont have any a/f readings. But if i got bigger injectors, say 24lbs wouldnt i need to get it dyno tuned. Also your scion has 30 less horspower than the mustang and you wont get near as many chicks with it.

yeah you should probably get a dyno tune anyway. It has less hp but It is lighter and I run about .2 faster in it than with the stang. I actually get more girls. they like the fact that i can lay down the rear seat and the whole roof is glass. Can you say camping trip

i just dont have the 500 for a dyno tune, plus even more money for injectors.

yeah it is pricey possibly call your tuner guy and see if he will write you a tune that adds a bit more fuel if your not too close to maxing yours out.

I dont know why you say i never should have started this, it has been a great learning experiance for me and i wanted to make my car faster so i did. I did point out the issue. It likes to kill at idle, and the sounds its making sounds like it is trying to run but then dies.

i have raised the idle to almost 800 rpms thinking that would curse the problem, but that did not fix it

when you start it do you get a small amout of black smoke out the back... if not then you need to enrich the tune a bit more...

I think that you also might want to get a sound video up i wanna hear that cam

Okey i just got a clip of my starting and it ran for about 30 seconds an hour ago, jsut enough to pull it into the garage where it sat for 45 minutes without running in a non heated garaged with doors open, and the car had been sitting outside for 3 hours in about 30 degree weather. Im not sure how good the audio will be but the car sounds terrible and barely runs, then kills. then is started with some gas applied, then reved then it shows under the hood where you can hear a small clicking, i belive a rocker arm isnt tight enough and is tapping, it is pretty faint and sort of hard to hear on the movie, it is only on one side. Also there is a small exhaust leack from the exhaust manifold gasket on that same side (passanger side). Then as i go back aroun the car you can here it idling significantly better but still kinda rough but i figured that hows it should sound with the cam. 99 v6 mustang 42 v6 ported heads and intakes 224244 cam longtube headers cai - Putfile.com

Thank could be unsafe without a/f readings especially if you are running ok up top, and 2002BLGT thats some awesome customer service, when I get another stang or if sniper comes out with a system for the Tc like they told me they were I am def. coming to you.

wideband would be your best investment right now , $299 from summit , cheaper than dyno tune and I can adjust it thru email , even if you put the 24 lbs injectors on it .......
