you can even remove it with pliers if you dont have the correct socket or wrench

My stang didn't even have a spoiler before I put one on, and it wasn't hard. If the holes line up like you say, it is just a matter of opening the trunk, unbolting the old spoiler, and bolting on the new one. You might want to have someone there to help you hold the spoiler in place while you do this. It just makes life easier. One other tip. You might want to put silicone, WD-40, or some other sealant in the holes before you install the spoiler. This will help prevent both rusting and leakage. Congrats on your new spoiler!

call them and ask. but you can buy a basic socket set (and a good one at that) from sears for 50 bucks and use it over and over. i would personally invest in the tools.

yep I was talking about water leakage around the bolts. You REALLY DON'T NEED TO GO TO A SHOP! It will be cheaper to get the tools. Find out what size the bolts are so that you will have the right sized socket. Other than that you shouldn't have any problems. Putting in a bolt is pretty much the same as putting in a screw. If you really don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, I'm sure that you could find a friend or neighbor that would be able to help. You don't need to go to a shop. As far as leakage, you shouldn't have a problem with it if you spray a little WD-40 into the holes before you put the new spoiler on. I hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

its very easy... there should be no leaks if your new spoiler came with rubber washers. that will prevent any leakage. all you need is a ratched set and extension. if the holes in the gt and v6 match up then you will just need to put the new spoiler where the old one was and screw it in. one thing i recommend is to put tape or something on the screws that will be sticking out of the new spoiler so when you are getting it lined up with the trunk holes you wont scratch the paint. if you start to put the spoiler on and the holes DO NOT match up then pm me or post it up. i installed a 96 cobra wing in my 96 v6 and the holes didnt match so i can give you step-by-set instructions to install if the holes dont match

It will definitely be cheaper to go to auto zone and buy a socket wrench, extension, and the correct sized socket (or a set of sockets) than if you take it to a shop, plus you will have a socket wrench and extension if you ever need it. Although 1/2 inch sockets are probably more common, auto zone has a 3/8th inch drive socket wrench for $19.99 and a 10 piece SAE socket set as well as a 12 piece metric set for the same price. Auto Zone has a 3 inch extension for 5 bucks if you need it also.

then it should be jsut a bolt on job.. shouldnt take you more than 30 minutes.. if that.. maybe like 10.. jsut make sure to put something on the screws before you get ready to put it on so you wont scratch your paint!!!!!

yes it will have the ribber washers... they are more or less attached to the nuts on the underside of your trunk. you should be able to re-use everything that is on your current spoiler, if not then the new spoiler should have come with install gear
