i change the filter between 1-3 months depends on the conditions...

sometimes the sahara deserts sands/dirt comes and theres the 1 month filter life..

but when its all cool it all depends maybe 3 months or even more...

I have that same air filter for my CAI and it's re-usable.

El Cangri what kind of filter do you use? My K&N filter has a LIFETIME warrenty. You buy a $10 recharging kit. It lets you clean the filter and makes it like brand new. Plus you get more than one cleaning per kit. Now I know that the filters that come with the cheap e-bay CAIs aren't as nice, but they work the same way and you could probably use the K&N kit on them. The answer to how often to replace the air filter is NEVER. You just need to clean it from time to time.
