I know that 4.10 and 3.73 affect ur gas milage about the same, but how much mpg will u lose compared to the stock gears?

i think 1-2 depends on your driving

dont get 4.10s if u do a lot of highway traveling

and its between 1-2 mpg lost

why is it so low?

because you are at higher rpms for the same transmission gear.

i.e. 75mph is 3k rpms (this is in 4th gear- overdrive- on a 4r70w)

I answered the first question in my previous post. and 1999 v6 stock is 20 mpg city and 27-29 mpg highway

Also the lower gears rev higher quicker and need to be shifter more often. this equates to less mpg
