From everything that I've heard it is both cheaper and easier to just buy a GT rather than try to put a GT engine in a sixer. I have not tried myself, but that seems to be the general opinion when people ask about it.

Is the frame and body different for a sixer as compared to a GT? Or the mounts?

Again I'm not an expert, but I think it is just that you have to make so many other mods to make it work. Exhaust, trasmission, computer, etc... From what I have heard the price of all these mods exceeds the price difference between the GT and the V6. I could be wrong though...just saying what I've heard in the past.

its the same but u have to transfer over the all the "computer stuff" too...plus if u put power on it ur gonna need the built up rear...i would go for the gt rear too...i mean overall it would just be cheaper to buy a gt and start from there...but i would rather stick with the six for insurance reasons and better mpg (i kno not much better, but every bit helps when gas prices keep soaring)

you dont have to build the rear if you dont launch it at the track on sticky tires...

the swap is not the most difficult, and it is not the priciest either.

It could be an expensive nightmare. But if you start with nothing and buy an old v6 for like 5 grand then do this swap even with the upgraded rear it turns out better than buying a brand new GT, money wise.
