Just wanted to say for future note I wouldn't throw the car in reverse in this situation. I would have gone neutral ebrake if possible. Also though, not sure if you still have the stock shifter, but I would have thought the car would just shut off if that happened. I did that once years ago by accident in a explorer I had and it just shut off also was a auto.

i did this in my tempo and it just popped right back to neutral it wouldnt let me do it.

well the car is driving fine. it does make some noise when i decelerate from 40-30mph and then disapates. other than that i havent noticed any power loss or anything. does anyone know what is causing this noise?

you should get it looked at before it gets worse... o and dont tell them you put it in reverse while driving forward just play dumb.

thats what i did when i burnt up my wiring harness with my blue headlights... but i put the original ones back in and they worked for a while and then quit so i took it to the dealership and they fixed it no prob...

o and if something is wrong with it which sounds like it is then it would be cheaper now to fix then later when the whole tranny and possibly other stuff goes out with it.

ok well im thinking that maybe i might have messed up the teeth on some of the gears. is this a possibility? and if so are there rebuild kits and how much will it cost for install? i was looking to strenghten up my transmission anyway so any help on this issue would help.
