Sticky Situation

ok so i was leaving my house and decided to test my car against a range rover.now when i floored it the gas pedal seemed to stick and the brake wouldnt work. i had to throw the ebrake on and it seems that cruize control doesnt work anymore. can anyone tell me what has happened???? the car seems to be okay otherwise.

sounds like you got a whole lot of big problems there. i wouldnt frive it untill you know your pedal isnt gunna stick and your brakes work. your extremely luck you didnt hit something/someone.

but look on the bright side, the range rover was gunna win anyway

maybe your throttle cable stuck b/c your cruise control cable (which is next to the throttle cable) broke, snapped, cracked, etc. my cruise control cable bent and got stuck once just like this. check the two cables and springs on the throttle body

sorry. sounds like its coming from the tranny around 30-40mph when the car slows. i had to throw the ebrake on so i dont know what couldve been messed up in the process. its not a whistling noise but like a low rumbling noise if that helps any.

its an auto. i have some 4.10 gears in now and i think it was in third gear when it stuck and is making the noise when it is in second gear as it is slowing down. i dont know much about transmissions though.

Check your fluid. 90% of tranny issues are from burnt or low tranny fluid.

Id say get a flush and fill. its not that much and it may give ur tranny a kick start

Yeah if you shifted into REVERSE at high speeds ....

Hmm, broken tooth on a gear maybe....
