Purge Valve

correct my spelling..
my check engine light came on so i stopped at auto zone liek 5 min after it came on
and they said it was my purge valve..
the guy at the store didnt know what it did aha
i heard it has somethign to do with the pressure going from my gas tank to my engine..
to make sure the engine gets enough air and gas??

he didnt tell me it he just wrote it down
but he said it had to do somethign with the gas and the engine..
and thats all he knew

EGR canister purge valve

he said id have to order it from ford..cuz he didnt have it
but ive found them for like 27 bucks...
but i have no clue where it is or ho id go about replacing it

tell us the exact code you got before you go replacing things you don't know about yet.

+1 if its p1443 i think thats evap system throwing the egr off. just clear it and it will usualy not come back i had this once havnt seen it again. if it does then u need to have the evap control solenoid replaced.

ok ill go back up there..
my check engine light came on and it scared me..
how would i go about trying to clean the evap system?
