5.8 Swap

does anyone know how hard it would be to swap in a 5.8l into my 96 3.8l? i know theres alot more to it than just the engine swap and would it be worth it? the engine alone is $7k from ford racing

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say thats not including wiring, making the gauge cluster work, suspension and brakes, rear end, etc...

If you do all the work yourself...
5-7grand should do it -

5-7 grand?? no...

4 grand?? maybe...

no need for wiring harness if your going carb, which is better especially for the SN95's

you also need to work with the suspension and drivetrain as well

Well I'll put it this way...
Back when I had the idea dallas mustang was gonna charge like 7grand to install a mach 1 motor, suspension, brakes, rear end, wiring, and make it all work and look purdy... (-the motor cost) And even then they said expect another 1-2 grand parts/labor -
