Ok lose the Y-pipe and get an h or an x-pipe. If your gonna upgrade your wires get the screamin demon coil pack distributor, and some msd 8.5 superconductor wires. If ya do those things instead you'll be a bit happier.

you fergot t-lok and 4.10 gears...

Before you take off your cats with long tubes and a x/H pipe make sure you do not have to do emissions testing
and H pipes give a bit rougher sound(better imo, but depends on set up of course)

http://www.stangmods.com

Here's where I'm finding some of the thing I'm putting on mine. They also have an index on the front page of other sites & stores to get parts as well. Was pretty helpful.

the problem is that not many people make a catted mid-pipe for lontubes for your model, i think MAC makes one but it only fits the 94-98's... your gonna want to get some custom work done, have your local exhaust or performance shop make your mid pipe for you... you can buy something like a dr gas x pipe or a take of gt h-pipe for them to use, but truthfully you don't even need a x or h you can use straight pipes. you can also buy the high flow cats from most of the exhaust companies of your choice... most of the catted h or x pipes for your model are made for shortys or oem sized replacements. you will also need to extend your o2 sensor wires since you want to keep the cats.

noo man, no y pipe...its gunna look like a v6. u need x or H pipe or running str8 back. plus u need t-loc if u plan on have the hp. plus 2 yrs? why so long... my 4 months plan has more mods then that. unless its hard for getting money then i understand. but im 17 and by january i plan on having, headers, t-loc, gears, cams, throttle body, sct x-cal 2 flasher and the ASP UD pulley.

if i were u id add cams to that list. and the throttle body

i agree with itschristorres8. it shouldnt take 2 years, unless you have trouble puttin money into the car. i had that trouble when i wanted to start modding mine.. and now that im making enough money to do some serious mods to it, im saving up for a vacation (cant wait to get away from alaska lol). some of the first mods id go for is 4.10's, t-loc, and SCT x-cal flasher. good luck modding the 6er!

yea, it shouldnt take 2 yrs. if anything most it would be is about a year. thats about a $1,200 in mods. the x-cal and UD pulley ask jason@vmptunning about it, he has a $509 deal them together. just get a CAI off ebay $50. $350 for and exuast shop to do ur exaust(with the H or X pipe. $300 for the long tubes. and thats really ur mod list. RPM sells t-loc for $190...and gears too i believe.
