with the chip the tranny will shift quicker and harder.. and if you dont care about passing emissions get long tube headers with shorty xpipes..other wise they'll be just like having the stock headers and the sound will be much better

on rpm outlet's web site they have kits that give you a horsepower gain rating such as....high flow cai thats suppost to give 28 rhsp at the wheels. have any of you guys put any of these kits on your car and if so how does there rating of horsepower compare to real world aplications?

you'll see those gains...
if you have a s/c or turbo
i did, i saw more then that went from 226 or 245 to 279.bolt ons you wont see that
if your lucky depending on the tune 20rwhp, but that would have to be a killer ass tune

ummmm you can get CAI off ebay for like 40 bucks or less....its all the same shit...make sure its a good filter tho....everything else is just aluminum tubing hahah.....and i have no idea on performance sites...i mean you get some Force auto mufflers off jegs.com for like 36 a piece..thats what im runnin....then have a shop fab a midpipe....and i agree with shifty...go with some LT's and youd be good....i think jegs has handheld tuners too...

oh and if you go with some new gears...3.73's...you could go with 4.10's since you got an auto...you will be able to tell a difference off that more than anything...my car felt alot better when i switched to 3.73's

yes a set of gears will be put in around spring. so with a cai, new throttle body, throttle body spacer, under drive pullys true duels from the heads back and a tuner will yeild only about 12-20 horsepower..am i seeing this correctly. back 25-30 yrs ago when i was really into building cars it was a little different than today. since then i have been into my harley's and have lost touch with new tech when it come to cars. my son is now 21 and wants me to modify my mustang and im learning that in today's age it's a little different than back in my time.

yea carbs are kinda out... sorry pops ...

just kidding if you really want to modify your car you should def get a supercharger ... i think you would be very satisfied with a system from VMP... they are great guys and very helpful ...
and instead of getting those pulleys and tuners and stuff they have a kit that comes with everything that you will possibly need...

OR

if you wanna go a route barley traveled get a carbed V6 from Super Six Motorsports

don't want a big engine..did that route years ago...plus gas is too much. a supercharger could be in the mix in the spring but, i would probably get better heads better fuel injection and intake with a cam package. stay v 6 and see what i can make it do. theres alot to be said about making a car fun to drive and not having to have the fastest car around. i would rather build up a 6 my way -vs- paying big bucks for a big engine..not to mention the gas again. I have the funds to buy one...but i would rather wrench and build without goin broke over a v 8
