If he would have put aftermarket fuel injectors then yes it would have not have been covered...They can prove that any part you added to the car caused the issue...Its all dependent on the tech and the stealership...

If it was a rattle in his engine, a problem with his intake, or a CEL that related to the inlet of the engine the issue would have not been covered...

In other words as long as you make sure what you do is done right you should be ok. Yeah if he would have installed injectors then it would have been tricky

And you can also remove a CAI very easily before you take it in!

Been there done that...Just letting people know...Dealerships can be a$$Holes if they want to be...

thats true...i could remove the CAI before taking it in...but i were to keep going with more extensive mods then what should i do....screw the warranty because the engine prolly wont have many problems or just stick out the 6 months
