IAC

What is an IAC block off plate and an external IAC? And what do they do?

An IAC controls the idle of the car, your car will not run with out one. Unless you went carbed.

All IAC's are external and I've never heard of a IAC block off plate. Are you sure it wasn't a EGR block off plate?

Yeah like they said, The IAC or Idle Air Control controls the amount of air going to your engine at idle. You need it for your car to run. I don't know why you would want to block it. I think there must have been some mistake.
