My Dad owned a (I think it was 3.8) Olds 98 with a SC from the factory. It was big and heavy. Im sure it went 0-60 faster than my Mustang.
Is that like the engine your talking about?

Nissan has the 3.5L with 306hp in the 350Z abnd other cars, and the 3.7L 330hp in the Infinity G37 Coupe. I'm not sure what else they use the 3.7L 330hp engine in. A local board member took an 07 4 door Infinity G35 sport luxo-boat with the 3.5L 306hp version to a flat 14sec pass at Beech Bend in June heat. So lets just say if I were in the market for a fun V6 car, a Ford wouldn't be on the list.

306 HP and a 14 second pass isn't exactly what I would call good.

Do you have any clue what an Infinity G35 is? I'll tell you, it's a 4 door car, not a muscle car.
The fact that a heavy 4 door jap car with a smaller motor (3.5L V6), runs flat 14's in June heat, and makes more HP than the current Mustang GT and runs with stock pre-05 GT's is good enough to for me to like it. Heck, some of the 05+ GT's I ran with on the same day were 13.6-13.7 cars some stock and I think one had something like a CAI, but to say a flat 14sec run in a 4door V6 family car isn't good is BS. I'm not a jap car fan, but you just can't deny these cars are making good power when they run #'s like that stock in heavy family cars. Here is another heavy 4 door vehicle I seen run a flat 14sec pass. Now he's done a couple bolt-ons and is running 12.9's! ![]()

"Sport" yes, but it's still a 4 door family car. I think it has suspension upgrades and a 6 speed instead of an auto like the regular G35, but that's about it.
We can argue the BS all day long, about "sport" etc etc ect, but this is a heavy 4 door car with a 3.5L V6. I mean C'mon, what did your car run bone stock? Wasn't the 99-04 GT rated to run 14.1's? 96-98 GT's were lucky to be in the 14's, but stock auto cars were 15's. A 05-07 GT is barely faster than the G35 sport stock v/s stock. I am not taking up for jap cars, but just posting facts. I hate how close on our heels they are. But I'll never own anything else than american muscle cars.

3.7L = 330hp Yeah, I was pretty sick when I seen the G35 sport go flat 14's stock, and a TBSS SUV go 14 flat stock. 350Z = 3.5L V6 with 306hp Infinity G35 Sport = 3.5L V6 with 306hp Infinity G37 Coupe = 3.7L V6 with 330hp Infinity M45 = 4.5L V8 with 325hp 336tq Links: 2008 Nissan Z - Nissan USA Official Site 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe Models - Infiniti USA Official Site 2008 Infiniti G Sedan Models - Infiniti USA
