V6 Vs. 70'


I have a 2002 mustang sixer with manual transmission. i just have an offroad x pipe with dual flowmast exhaust. I have a cold air intake and new spark plugs. i just got new bfgoodrich sport tires.thats it. i am racing 1970 mustang fastback. 302 v8 ROUSH racing pistons and heads and 750 cfm carb. automatic. who do you think will win on the strip???

Was it a boss model? if so your toast...if it was the 220 hp version then you may not do so bad...old cars are HEAVY

Yeah man your mods make you sound good but don't add much HP. He has more performance oriented mods on a car that is probably faster to begin with. You're toast!

i could be wrong but aren't both cars around 3100lbs? older mustangs aren't heavy. my 66 is 2750 dry weight

hey question along these lines too...what about 04 v6 (exhaust, cai, tune) vs. a 68 gt stock...?

A 289 you should beat, a 302 will be close and the bigger motors will get you
