new k member
new intake/exhaust

new ecu
new drive shaft
new transmission..

basically you need everything engine related from a Z dropped onto a mustang frame.

no.

it's a 3.5 you have a 3.8

but it would cost you more than I would bet you would be willing to pay.

it's already been done pretty much.

ever seen the fast and the furious Tokyo Drift?

they dropped a skyline motor into a classic mustang.

think in the range of 15-20 thousand for what you want to do..

and after all that all you could do is get beaten on by GT's

it's really not worth the time or effort.

Thats definetly not a good movie to base any ideas from. Nor is it a good movie to idealize, or look up too. Anything that was done in that movie, was done solemly FOR the movie.. and we all know movie producers have money. All three of those movies.. are a joke, by the way.

My point.. The 350Z 3.5L V6.. is configured with OHC heads, specifically the Dual (DOHC) cam configuration. Its wider than the 3.8 you have, and the mounting geometery is different than the 3.8 aswell. The transmission (6 speed) is also an issue.. because its cross member is located farther foward than any of the transmissions used in V8, and V6 mustangs. Basically, it would be like swapping in a DOHC 4.6/5.4.. except your actually wasting money and time on an engine that doesnt even produce 300hp. Stop and think for just a moment about wiring and electronics. What gauges would you use? And which gauges are compatible with the Nissan ECU? Which gauges can be configured to work with the factory sensors? What about the Anti-Theft system? Wiring for the A/C? Or heck, even getting the A/C to work? None of the powersteering will work with the factory rack.. all the fittings are different, along with the lines and they're lengths. This is just the tip of the ice berg.

In a nutshell, this CAN work. But why? You wouldnt realistically be able to drive this car.. for over a year, if you worked on it every day for 5-6 hours a day, and thats shooting for a good length of time. Most people dont have that kind of luxury to work on cars everyday like that. Seems pointless to me. My .02.

Alright... here's one... what would it take to put a Honda S2000 engine in the v6 bay? Is the fart can necessary to make the most HP? And the wing, does it still need to be at least a foot off of the car? What about NOS? Would that let me beat the RX-7? I can't wait to get my 10-second Supra...

I only like domestics and europeans. domestics the most. But only japanese company i do like is nissan/infinity. But why f**k your mustang up by putting a rice burner in a mustang. Why not just swap to a cobra motor and have a bad all muscle car, than have a shell of a muscle car with a rice burner motor
