Tech Gear Question
Im sure that this has been said before but i cant find the link for it... so I was wondering what all needs to be done to install a T-Loc and 4.10 gears in my 96 v6. I have come to understand that i have a 7.5 rear end, and i was also wondering if an 8.8 is better. If so, then what all would i need to change it? Im planning to do all this myself by the way. Thanks in advacne!

Unless you have all the specialty tools required for changing out gears, I'd leave it up to the professionals. It could be VERY dangerous if they aren't installed correctly.

well here on the Coast Guard base we have an auto hobby shop wich has all the tools needed to to any project on a car... even has a paint booth with the spray guns. there are also poeple working there with many many years of experience to help out. ill also be working with a good friend of mine that knows a whole lot about cars, and itll give me a great deal of knowlegde working with it as well. and the feeling of doing it yourself lol. thanks though!

If you want a 8.8 you can get new one from a Ford dealer that sales Ford Racing Parts.
It has 3.73 gears and a Tloc. Just swap over your brakes and axles from your 7.5 rear axle and install the new 8.8 rear axle. 28-TOOTH 8.8" TRACTION-LOK REAR AXLE ASSEMBLIES M-4006-B373 $875
