its hard to find the stats on the 3.9 engine and everyone thinks they are the same but i found specs for the engine (only by searching under the ford windstar van it originally was made for). the torque is 20lb/ft over the 3.8 with 245 and the hp is rated the same and 90 percent of the torque is available at under 1900 rpms i believe so it is definitely quicker than the 3.8 stock

the windstar had a different intake that helps the performance quit a bit... the mustang 3.8 and 3.9 are pretty much the exact same

you will be surprised to find that many people do the opposite just cause the engines are strong enough to put up with a bit of PSI for a while... there are some members on here that have forced inductions units and have plans for internals later in life

well if a stock engine can hold up to about 200k ... if you do these parts could probably last till 200k on the parts alone... i don't know what the oldest, most miled, block is though ...

depends thats a question that has many answers
if you just put stock compresssion forged internals and have everything dont correctly and maintain that engine(oil changes and such) there isnt a reason it shouldnt last up to 200k miles
putting a blower or turbo and running that car too 450-500-550-600rwhp...i can tell you right now theres an extremely low chance that car will hit 200k miles 150k miles who knows
time and wear will always occur
and race gas also can corode connecting rods
most of it has to do with maintaining your engine

like most people at the track running open headers and huge power.
or like nascar
those engines get taken apart ALOT especially nascar, (every race for them)
get cleaned. check for burnt exhaust valves, and sign of scoring on cylinder walls etc..

also a big thing to remember is breaking in a new engine.
if you let loose on a brand new engine at just 50,100,150 thousand miles those piston rings havent fully opened and expanded. running it hard will hold the chance on hurting or destroying piston rings. which is a pain to replace because that entire engine now has to come apart
