3g To Spend On Mods... Suggestions? Also Have Question On Turbo-ing My Car :)
was originally saving up/planning up to trade in my v6 for a vr6 gti or jetta... but plans changed and decided to just go all out on my v6 instead..
Saved up more than 3g.. but I'm planning on using about 3g of the savings and save up for a second car. But yeah. Any suggestions on mods??? I am also thinking of boosting the v6 if i will be able to find a kit for cheap. But yeah.. Is it true that they don't manufacture new kits for 99~04 v6s anymore?? If so, what should I watch for, when ordering used kits from ebay and such?? Or is there another good site for buying used kits?

You can still buy turbo kits but its gonna cost you more than 3k. You can supercharge your car for around 2.4k if you want.

Haha well the cai was a waste of money if you're supercharging. You won't be able to use it.

You could save up one more grand and get a turbo. Go look on Mustang Body Kits they have one

damn... haha well, what do you guys think would be better anyway... a decent s/c vs decent turbo kit. I just want bang for buck mods. I'm just worried about the detonation part of s/c, as i know nothing about tuning lol. (still learning)
I just know how to put on basic bolt ons (CAI and such) lol. So yeah, if i were to either S/C or turbo and get it tuned professinoally (unless there's a good DIY for either one of them without blowing them =X), how much would it cost for labour and etc? Or do u guys even suggest following DIY for S/C?? |

Supercharger is an easier install. If you do it right I don't think theres 2 many problems on either. I think supercharger is the best bang for the buck. You can get everything for the m112 supercharger kit for around $2400 thats $1600 less than a turbo. Use that $1600 for supporting mods and a bigger pulley

Just outta curiousity.. What's the difference in 3.8L v6 and 3.9L v6 anyways... Other than the difference in displacement. =/ I do know that there's small hp and tq difference... but can i still use a lot of 3.8L parts for the 3.9L? |
