I'm not a big body kit fan, and just wait we got a guy up here who hates body kits. I go by "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." If you like it then more power to you. Also I like anything that resembles Cobra R. Your black widow cobra r front bumper to be exact. FINALLY I'm not the only one with those tailights up here. I'm not a big fan of my tail lights, but I would much rather spend money modding my car out than changing stuff on it. Besides there ricer bait.

Two thoughts come to mind:

And...

I do like the two-tone tan/black interior, though...that's the look I'm going for in my 993.

Not my flavor either but sounds like you are getting what you are going for so be proud of your ride. Everything was done pretty well balanced, so good job. But any performance mods???

well, there are a multitude of bolt on mods that you could do.

One of the first two things that i think you should do are exhaust and a tuner, such as an SCT II, one of the v6 guys should point you in the right direction on where to get one.

for exhaust there are a number of threads about it for v6es on this site and im sure many people who have done a full v6 exhaust will chime in soon, but ill give you the run down any way. For a good sound and added performance you will need to replace youe Y pipe with either an X or H pipe, then put on some GT take offs or another dual cat back exaust set up on. there is more you can do, but thats the basics for that.

Also, once you have done both of those i would recomend swapping your rear end gear for a much lower one(gets your engine into the power band quicker and multiplies torque more) and put in positive traction.

If you do all that your car should be quite a "bit" faster

front bumper- $200 around
side skirts- $200
rear bumer- $200
shipping for all that- $200
get it on & painted- $800-1000
the rims with tires- $1000
----------------------------------------------------
total about $2700
even if u take away the rims $1,700, you could have an exuast, intake, gears, Ud pully and a chip, AND lowered your car and if u lowered it with rims it woulda still looked hot...=/ if u lik the body kit then yea sure u spent ur money the way u wanted but w/e

my body kit was just trouble and i ended up LOSING $3000 on it =(. biggest mistake ive ever made....$3000, i'd have everythin i have now(exuast, intake & rims) plus UDpulley, chip, headers, pos trac, gears, lowering springs, cam gears, heads, tints and probably still have money left over... =/ well i hope urs doesnt give u trouble man, good luck

yes, put in a 3.73 rear gear and posi trak. Also you NEED to get a tuner if you are interested in performance

as for exaust, cat back alone will give you almost NO performance gains!

in adition to cat back you will need to replace your Y pipe(pipe that combines the exhaust flow from both cyl. banks, very restrictive) with an X or H pipe(gives you duals all the way back, actually adds hp) and if you dont have to put up with emissions, then put mac long tube headers on(all of this will delete all of your cats and add significant hp for an exhaust set up, but if you have emissions then do all but the long tube headers, this will keep a set of cats)

hey thankx, i dont understand what are "long tube" headers.
i saw some o2 sensor trick things so that you can get rid of the cats.
can you just run straight pipes back from the stock headers and still get some HP gain?? do most ppl do like 2 1/2 in tubes??

There are three basic parts of your exhaust systeem. (starting from engine)

1: exhaust manifold: connects engine to main exhaust pipes and collects exhaust from each cylinder into two seperate pipes

2: midpipes: where cats are located, section inbetween manifold and mufflers, usually connects both sides of exhaust by means of a pipe running inbetween two sides to make a H shape(hence H pipe) or two pipes merge then separate(X pipe) But in your cars current case the midpipe is of the Y pipe design, instead of keeping your exhaust seperate and free flowing it combines both sides into a single pipe(very restricive) in order to do your exhaust right you will need to replace you Y pipe with an X or an H

3: cat/midpipe back: usually contains mufflers and the exhaust tips, this is what you replace with an after market cat back system(inorder to take advantage of one of these you will need to get an X or H pipe)

a header is a better replacement for the exhaust manifold, it has smoother pipes, even length ect. there are two types: long tubes and short tubes. Their names imply exatly what they are. The long tubes are longer than the short tubes(i.e. individual exhaust pipes from the engine on the headers are longer until they all collect into one pipe and then go to the rest of the exhaust) Why long tubes are better than short on your car is because in order to fit them onto your car you will need to take out the section of your exhaust that includes your first set of cats (the most retrictive ones) ALthough they add a bit of pwoer you should not put them on if you have emissions testing because the lack of cats will cause you car to fail inspection

the O2 sensor trick thing is in order to fool your computer into thinking your cats are still on the car so it doesnt throw a check engine light

and yes, 2.5" diameter pipes is what most peple use for their exhaust from their manifold/headers all the way back

hope fully this has enlightened you a bit on what you will need to do for exhaust

and like i said before, if you get a tuner, dual exhaust all the way back, 3.73 or 4.10 gears and t-lok, then your car will sound and be quite a bit faster
