Hey I went out and looked at my intake and I'm still not sure how to disconnect the hoses. Do I just pull on them? and how do I hook the hoses to the new CAI?

Hey guys I put my CAI on today!!! It is friggin awsome!!!!!!! You would not believe how much trouble I had with this thing. Most of it had nothing to do with the install itself. The first big problem I had was that the wire harness wouldn't fit through the hole in the factory backing for the mass air sensor. So since I wasn't going to keep it anyway I used pliers to break a big enough hole to get the harness through. The other thing that was a bit tricky is what looked like a sensor that goes in the pipe. I won't go into all the details, but it was a bitch. So finally I had the stock intake totally out only to find that the kit didn't come with 2 bolts that I needed. I didn't have an intake on my car so I had to drive around with my roommate for 3 HOURS before he took me to Lowes to by a 40 cent bag of bolts. By the time I finally got home, it was dark. My roommate was kind enough to hold a flashlight for me while I installed the new intake. Most of that went really smooth and easy. Until it came time to put the filter on. OMFG it is a MAJOR F***ING PAIN IN THE ASS to get that thing in there. I had to jack up the car and put the thing on by feel with only my left hand (I'm right handed). Only it's like 30 degrees outside so my fingers were going numb. I was able to get a visual inspection of it, but I couldn't look up there and have my hand in there at the same time. Plus it was dark as hell. So all in all it wasn't too hard, but could have been a lot easier if I had had that damn bolt to start with. However, it was MORE THAN WORTH the trouble. It made a noticeable difference in the sound. My car sounds a lot better than I thought it would from just a CAI. Plus I actually noticed a real difference in HP. I think I got maybe 10 or 15 HP out of this thing. I can't wait to see what effect this has on my fuel economy. Plus I know that this will make it sound even better when I get my exhaust put on. Thanks to everyone who helped me out.
