If you have an autozone in your area have them run a check, write down the codes and post em on here. People can help you from there

read the code with a scan tool of your b/f's tuner silly

my engine is not blown! Im not that stupid...the only thing he has is a tuner...but its for cobras...=( Could it be because I really really need an oil change...I keep tell my b/f but he hasnt done it yet...If I clean the toilet...he changes the oil!

you can use it to read the codes.

Get the codes pulled and post them here. Also post year make model and I can look some info up. The CEL can come on for many reasons. But NOT for a simple oil change.

stopped at autzone and they didnt know what it was..three guys aha

possibly a purge valve''

Yeah but I am embarressed to say it has been almost 9k since my last oil change...

is the autozone reader cannot see the code (which isnt surprising) its most likely a rear o2 sensor.

thats correct. i dont even go more then 5000 km on the mobile 1 thats rated for 15 0000 :S

me too, this could be low oil pressure. but usually low oil light would come on. but it could very well be oil related.
