Thinking about selling my car

Well, i have a 99 v6 3.8l mustang (blue). I was going to modd it, but i thought about it and figured I would want a cobra in the future anyways. I was thinking about selling my car for about 6000-7000. (originally bought for 7,500 - Talked dealer down from 10,500). I figure why spend so much money on my v6 to get 300-350 hp when I can get a cobra for around the same price doing about that hp stock (not quite, but almost).
I saw a couple cobras on Ebay for like 6000-7000, but i dont know whether u think I would be able to trust them. Here are a couple of them that I was thinking about.

I would love all your advice, should I go for it or stick with what I have and just save up money till i can buy a better cond cobra for 10-15,000

dont get your car on ebay, my brother tried buying a mustang on ebay and it started out at $8000, then at the last hr the bids shot up $3000 and the last bidder ended up paying $14,000 on a v6 worth about $10,000.
to sell ur car i'd recommend ebay, buying a cobra, www.autotrader.com i got my car there, 31,000 miles, 2000 v6, i got it in 2005 for onli lik $7,500. everythin was in excellent condition.

sell the car on ebay, or autotrader
buy your car on autotrader trust me.
its hard to buy a car on ebay by out bidding other, the last 10min of the bidding there are about 20 bids going through or more.
my brothere sumited his bid in the last 2 min and he still didnt get it

Think long and hard if you really want to do this, and think about the expenses of keeping up a cobra.

yea, u need ta look at a car, if u order a car online of ebay and its messed up, ur pretty much f**ked. keepin up a cobra i can imagine is more difficult then a v6, it may be faster but u have ur v6 now, and urs sayin u the cobra u want or gettin has 350hp....those are only the 03-04 SVT's. (i think) geting one of those is gunna cost about $20,000. idk if u can find a cobra for under $10,000. maybe around $15,000 u will but they'll be lik 8+yrs old...high miles....not good

so ur 6 costed $7,500. if u put $6,000 in your v6, u can have lots of bolts on and twin turbo with ur v6 pushing 350+ for sure! i can imagine even 400hp around or more. you'll have a v6 thats faster then alot of cobras. thats rare and i'd rather have sumthin like that.

Exactly, and higher insurance, and gas.

for one you can now get 96-97 cobras for around 8-9grand. the upkeep on a cobra (v8) is not going to be anymore than your 6er. they both need oilchanges and the regular old maintenacne. now you do need to think about extra money for gas, insurance also. anyways good luck with whatever you decide to do. its your car so do what you please. i say sell yours on ebay and buy from autotrader as someone else said. your more likely not going to get screwed with autotrader!

Well in VA finding a good use Mustang is hard. No matter what kind it is. Thats why I'm sayin all that. So many Mustangs around in here are in horrible condition. So many have been in wrecks, salvaged, totaled, not kept up, etc. I looked at so many Mustangs before I found mine, and mine was the only one that was in good condition. It may be different where you are, but here in Tidewater a used older Mustang a lot of times is not a smart thing to get involved in at all.

your right u can find a cobra maybe for that much, but can u imagine the mileage on that cobra, i have to say at least! 80,000 or more. which isnt too good for american cars really.
im not tryin to start an arguement but i dont really see how losing the v6 is better then findin a cobra with engine problems waitin to happen..

gl with finding one... hopefuly u make the right desicion and ur happy, i thought about that same.

my car 8000 add 4-5g

12-13 k total

i could be faster then stock Gts without a TT kit on a 6

throw 5 more at it 17-18 k

thats a GT with some mods and in great condition, and i could be pushing 400+ rwhp and the gt would be 300+ at that

and yet in the 6 ull have way better gas mileage

hope im not talking out my ass

u def. are makin an ass out of ur self!!!lol..j/k!! even if u find a GT thats still gonna be a lot cheaper than a cobra. you might find one for a couple grand more than what u paid for ur six and u throw the same about of money into a gt and you're lookin at serious hp but a 6er will still give u better gas mileage and lower insurance rates!!
