instead of putting another V6 in, you should get a 4.2L from ssms

the v8 isnt worth it unless your putting in a motor youd have to swap regardless if you had a 6 or an 8

the 4.2's can be made very fast and the cost that youll save on instalation will put you up there with the 8's

If you can find a 5.0 for pretty much free it would be worth all the money you have to spend on adapting the wiring harness and making the computer work with it...

other wise go with a 4.2 either built from a professional company or out of a F150 truck

a 4.2?

if you can pull it out of a truck then you might find one for 500 bucks and then its a direct bolt in... nothing hard about it...

if you get a rebuilt one it will run you close to 5000 AND if its built right you can put a hurting on a GT mustang no problem

if you just buy the 4.2 or 4.3 stroker from ssms, its direct replacement for the 3.8 engine you have now.

with the 4.3 youll make about 270rwhp thru a manual trans and about 260rwhp thru an auto. thats more than enough to kill even the s197 GTs

no if you get a 4.2 off a rebuild site that does stang engines then you can transfer key components like starter tranny fly wheel and such ...

the 4.2 out of the F150 is a tiny bit different i believe it requires the F150 starter and fly wheel... but i could be mistaken
