05 Mustang Fog Lights


so i got the lights anything i should know, i think the lights will make a tight fit but does my v6 have the wires at the ready, is it that simple

installing fog lights on a 05 v6


so i got the lights anything i should know, i think the lights will make a tight fit but does my v6 have the wires at the ready, is it that simple[/quote]

I'm actually assisting in this install so we looked at it tonight, and it looks like we might have to cut the grill somewhat, is this accurate?

See we held the lights where they would normally go. However, in that spot they would popping out way much more than they do on a GT. Like everything except the brace that holds on the fogs would be popping out. So I'm wondering if the grill needs some work done.

I think he might have to get the GT front fascia too unless it's a V6 made kit (I suppose he just bought the lights) I know that if you are buying a GT front fascia, you have to have the grill as well and I'm sure it works the other way around. I know they make GT grills that fit the V6 but you will have to do some searching.

No prob man I've been in the same situation tho I never bought any of it. Btw, theres a grill at the bottom of the page in the link below that may be what you need. It's not exactly the same as the GT but close.

no need to lecture the guy!!

also if... IF you want to wire your fog lights into your existing parking lights set up that way when you turn on your parking lights they come on... you can splice into the parking harness... and wire it that way.... when i get mine... if... damn it andrew... thats how i will do it
