well... as some of you know i am not happy with the sound of my duals. i have 2.25 inch with h-pipe and flowmaster 40's. im planning on (after christmas hopefully) to cut off my exhaust pipes right after the mufflers, hoping that will make the exhaust much louder. i will have the exhaust tips faked out coming out of the rear of the car, due to my body kit having the dual cut-outs and would look completely stupid without the pipes exiting the rear. any thoughts on this? ill probably keep the exhaust like that until i could afford to completely re-do my exhaust with LT's O/R H-pipe and cat-back.

nope... its barely louder than stock with a deeper tone... the only way you can hear it from inside the car is with the windows down and the stereo off lol

yes there are two hangers that you can use ... what i suggest is that you saw your exhaust off at the top of the hump and weld on some metal to make it connect to the hanger... and just share this hanger with the mufflers... also i suggest that you connect the tips on the engine side of the gas tank to give it some rigidity that you took out by eliminating all the prior hangers

that sucks man. i have still have my cars and mine is way louder and deeper then stock. what set up do you have right now

the hangers besides the stock one was custom made by the place that did my exhaust in alaska. the hangers were re-welded and made more rigid at a muffler shop in mobile. i shouldnt have a problem with them. i was planning on cutting the pipes off about 2 - 3 inches behind the mufflers and a couple inches (id have to look at it again) on the axle side of the exhaust tips, therefore cutting out where the pipe bends around the axel

i have stock manifolds, cats, custom h-pipe, and dual flowmaster 40's... piping is 2.25 inch

i do. i love hearing what i paid for, i can hear it perfectly even with the windows rolled up and the radio turned up

i have stock manifolds/cats, 2.5" pipes, custom H pipe, and flowmaster original 40's and its pretty damn loud. i can hear it perfectly with the windows rolled up and the music turned up,

i just need to get some money so i can take care of a few things that way im not so grouchy with it... if i can get those few things taken care off i will be happy

when i get money ill be getting a new full exhaust system... all mac... but it will literally be years before i can afford it lol

why dont you just install exhaust cutouts before the mufflers. thatll make it really loud and also give you thhe option to quiet it down a bit if necessary. much better idea imo

but if he opend the cutouts yes it will be loud but it will also sound like shit so why bother

exactly.. plus cutting the pipe off after the mufflers would still give the flowmaster sound and some back pressure from the mufflers

well all i want to say is make sure that some how the tips are connected from left to right... and make sure that some way some how they are attached in two places to the car itself

whys that? dont thing the individual hangers would hold with vibrations from the car hitting bumps and what not... or do you think they would move too much.. i can always rig something up lol
