well... that comes down to driver... if a driver can shit well and fast then i believe he will win... if he can't find gears then the auto will win ...

i only say this cause the 5 speeds are geared for acceleration a bit more then the auto ... but thats the nature of the beast

An automatic can always be faster than a 5 speed if it's setup right.

if the auto is built (i.e. shift kit) then the auto will be the stick everytime... nobody can shift as fast as the computer. but as for stock vs stock, manual has a bit more acceleration due to not as much power loss getting to the rear end,

just look it up.. dont know off the top of my head. if you want to know about shift kits talk to Green Faleen... he either had one or knows a lot about them.

greenfaleen doesn't exist anymore... its a nightmare to track him down...

you can gain similar results from a tuner that you can a shift kit

a tuner you can change the shift points... with the shift kit it actually shifts faster ( from what i have heard anyways)

yea im looking and it has both shift kits and tuners. i think i would rather have a tuner because i can turn it on and off that way when im on a date i don't have to worry bout the transmission slamming all the gears.

I would invest in a good tuner.

SCT/Sniper are both good tuners
