i want to but instead of repolacing the whole exhaust on the GT could i just slap some 40's on there instead and still have it be louder? or would i need to redo the whole exahsut

my friend has a 04 gt that had flowmasters on it with stock exhaust. he got an slp cat-back and it sounds sooo mcuh better... so good in fact that his dad bought slp's for his 05 gt lol

CAI, H-Pipe Flow 40s w/mid-pipe, UD's, 3.73/4.10 (not decided yet), T-5, and a kickass tune!
Eventually, restroke to a 4.2-4.4L! BALLIN'!
Lots of stuff, with not lots of money...lol.

I asked about possible problems, and he said there are no smokes, rattles, or whines, and that it runs exceptionally well, with the build date being March '99. I told him about the compression problems, as well as exhaust and intake manifold problems that the '99 DID have (which ended up being fixed under recall)...and I'm going to see what he says. yeah thats what i found out a couple hours ago when i was researching GT's more they had a lot of recalls and issues
