Exhaust Question

What's up guys, quick question. I've got a V6 and am looking to go with the dual exhausts and replace my bumper with a GT bumper. I'm leaning towards the MAC dual exhaust, which looks/sounds great IMO. The question i have is will i need to buy any hangers or anything for the install or should everything come with it? I just don't want to end up having everything sent to me and when i install it only find out there's shit i don't have yet for it if you know what i mean. BTW i found this site that sells GT bumpers. Mustang GT Rear Bumper <br> Cover 2005-2008 - FR3-4300-05AA

Supposedly they sell these bumpers that are OEM "Like new". Don't know if anyone knows about this site or if their shit's any good, so if you have knowledge of this site let me know how it went. Alright guys thanks

i bought the mac dual kit as well. the stock hanger on the driver's side will do fine but u need to get on for the right side of the car. and watch out for the tips. they for got a major part in their tip hangers and i had to fab one. it looks and sounds great though!!

'06 exhaust exits from the right side (passenger) on a V6, you'll need to get a hanger for the left side...me thinks.

you will need hangers, but it will be cheaper and you will be better off having it custom done at a shop

yeah on the 2002 mustangs they had the exhaust behind the driver, but on the 05-08's its on the passenger side. I got an 06. I think what i'll do then is when i get it take it down to the shop and have them install it. I may have to pay, but at least it'll be done right and save me the trouble.

This is the exact same thing I am planning to do to mine. I have to get my fender fixed so I might see if they'll fab me up a dual while I'm there.

Btw are you getting the colored sideskirts too? I think the GT rear bumper hangs lower than the V6.

+1 on going to the shop. That way there are no surprises. You're sure to need something that doesn't come with the kit. Also +1 on the exhaust being on the right in an '06 but on the left in an '02. BTW have you given any thought to an H or X pipe? you'll need one.

Not meaning to hijack the thread but does it really matter if it's an X or an H?

H is lower
X is raspier

No you don't need one we have an even firing motor and its not required... but its a nice thing to get if you can spare the change

I wasn't planning on getting the sideskirts also. I know the GT bumper does come down a bit more on the sides, but not drastic enough to need to replace the sideskirts.

I also haven't given too much thought on the X or H pipe yet, but definitely haven't ruled it out. I know the exhaust i'm looking at comes with the mufflers and Y pipe. Can't I use this setup for the time being? I was thinking about using this set up until I get the funds to swap out the Y pipe and get either an X or H pipe and some shortys. The only reason I'm doing it this way is the money factor. What are you're thoughts on that?

I just ran across this as I was looking for parts some parts.

Pypes 409 Stainless Steel V6 Dual Pipe Conversion Kit (2005+ V6)

Never heard of the brand but the reviews are good. Not an H pipe tho.

Personally I like MAC much better. I think the sound is great and I haven't heard any bad things from the people that have them. Here's a link to the exhaust I'm looking into:

MAC Cat-Back Exhaust Dual Exit System - For 05-08 Mustang V6 - StangSuspension.com

Also, has anyone had any experience with the magnaflow exhaust? Like sounds and performance? Here's a link to this one:

Magnaflow sounds like a g35 on the 4.0L

Somebody needs to try the pypes mid muffler system on the 6
